In practice, we often encounter problems of one kind or another, in which the screaming caused by feedback is the most common and most headache. Not only harsh, but also great damage to loudspeaker or even power amplifier system.
In the early days, segmented equalizer (EQ) was often used as an acoustic response restraint device. Because the EQ filter is fixed and immutable, it can not be precisely positioned to the feedback point. In addition, because of the wider bandwidth and deeper notch depth of EQ filter, a lot of sound power will be lost in the process of application. The appearance of the response restraint overcomes many shortages of the equalizer as a voice response restraint device. Compared with the segmented graphic equalizer, it has three advantages: first, it has the active function, after setting up, it does not need the sound engineer to adjust manually; secondly, it can actively search and accurately locate the feedback frequency point; third and most important advantage is that the macro-filter of the reaction press does not have to be done very deep or very wide, it is more than the multi-segment EQ. The filter is tens of times narrower, which means the acoustician can push the system gain higher without screaming.

Third, the use of mixer marshalling INS in the plug-in interface, the response will be in series according to the pad in the corresponding marshalling channel, the advantages of this approach is: can be marshalled into this group of microphones for assembly processing, and will not affect other sound sources. Generally speaking, because this method can fully use the reaction pad, it is also currently the most used method of cohesion.
